Symposium on Follow-up Treatment of Gastrointestinal Cancer Held in Chengdu

On September 13, 015, the "Symposium on Follow-up Treatment of Gastrointestinal Cancer" sponsored by Gaitianli Pharmaceutical was successfully held in Chengdu. More than one hundred experts and scholars from across the country participated in the seminar.

The meeting was chaired by Professor Zhou Zong-guang, Director of Gastrointestinal Surgery, West China Hospital.

First of all, Professor Yang Qifeng from Qilu Hospital of Shandong University introduced his published SCI articles. The research shows that Huaier particles have the following therapeutic effects on breast cancer: inhibiting the proliferation and invasion and metastasis of breast cancer, inhibiting the hormone receptor signaling pathway of breast cancer, inhibiting angiogenesis, and inhibiting breast cancer stem cells. Especially for the treatment of difficult three negative breast cancer also has a very good therapeutic effect. Professor Yang believes that these characteristics of Huaier granules are worthy of our consideration and attention, and hopes to strengthen the observation and accumulation in clinical practice, so as to lay the foundation for the standardized treatment of breast cancer.

Professor Huang Jian of the Second Hospital of Zhejiang University found that Huaier Qing Ointment can effectively inhibit the spherical formation of tumor cells and the ratio of ALDH positive cells in the basic research of colorectal cancer stem cells. The mechanism may be related to the down-regulation of the self-renewal pathway of Wnt /β-catenin signaling. This study suggests that locust ear may be very beneficial for cancer treatment.

Professor Liao Guoqing from the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University gave a lecture on the apoptosis of gastric cancer SGC-7901 induced by Huaier Qing Ointment. The results showed that Huaier Qing Ointment could inhibit the proliferation of human gastric cancer SGC-7901 cell lines and induce apoptosis of SGC-7901 cell lines in a time-and dose-dependent manner.

In clinical terms, Professor Chen Zhixin of West China Hospital of Sichuan University summarized the clinical effect of Huaier particles after gastric cancer surgery. Huaier particles have a positive effect on immune suppression and correction of immune regulation dysfunction in patients with chemotherapy. The use of anti-cancer drugs at the same time is conducive to killing tumor cells, which is of great significance to the recovery and prognosis of patients after surgery. Huaier particles long-term use, non-toxic side effects, can effectively improve the quality of life of patients with gastric cancer after surgery, to inhibit the recurrence and metastasis of gastric cancer has a certain effect.

At present, Huaier granules have made a lot of in-depth research on the basic aspects, and the conclusions obtained are encouraging, and they have initially performed well in the treatment of liver cancer, breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, and lung cancer in clinical application.
