The Latest Research Achievements of Huaiqihuang Granule in Nephropathy
On April 14, 2017, the 2017 national continuing education project of the Kidney Disease Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine-the precision medicine and the prevention and treatment of kidney disease with integrated Chinese and Western medicine, was successfully completed at the Venice Evergrande Hotel in Qidong, Jiangsu.
The theme of this conference is "Accurate Diagnosis and Treatment of Refractory Nephrotic Syndrome with Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine". Academician Chen Xiangmei of the PLA General Hospital presided over and delivered a keynote speech. More than 20 domestic nephrotic experts focused on the definition, diagnosis, and pathology of nephrotic syndrome. The mechanism, common pathological manifestations, clinical characteristics, epidemiological changes, and research progress of new biological markers made exchanges and speeches.
At the meeting, Academician Chen Xiangmei and Professor Yao Ying respectively made a wonderful exposition on the evaluation of the therapeutic effect of Huaiqihuang on proliferative nephritis and the protective effect of Huaiqihuang on cisplatin-induced acute kidney injury in mice.
From the research of academician Chen Xiangmei, we can see that Huaier can reduce the level of proteinuria in Thy-1 nephritis model and alleviate the renal pathological damage of Thy-1 nephritis. Huaier can inhibit the activation of mesangial cells induced by DGF. Inhibits the proliferation of mesangial cells, reduces DNA replication, and causes G2 phase arrest of mesangial cells. Huaier inhibits the expression of cycle-related proteins by up-regulating the mesangial proliferation inhibitory factor Mxi-1; Huaiqihuang may play a role in the treatment of mesangial proliferative nephritis through the monarch drug Huaier.
Professor Yao Ying's research results show that Huaiqi Huangsheng protects kidney by inhibiting HMGB1/TLR4/NF-kB pathway. Huaiqi Huang can be tried to protect renal function during cisplatin chemotherapy. Can try to apply in acute kidney injury caused by other reasons.
These basic studies once again confirmed that Huaiqihuang Granule has a definite effect on the treatment of some autoimmune diseases. The good clinical manifestations of Huaiqihuang granules were unanimously affirmed by the experts attending the meeting.
