Interpretation of Primary Liver Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Standards and Report of Huaier Granule Research Results Seminar Held in Shanghai

On September 17, 2017, the seminar "Interpretation of Primary Liver Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Standards and Report of Huaier Granules Research Results" organized by Gaitianli Pharmaceuticals was successfully held on the banks of the Huangpu River in the picturesque Pudong, Shanghai. At this meeting, we are fortunate to invite Professor Fan Jia, Dean of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, and Professor Shen Feng, Vice Dean of Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital, as the chairman of this conference. More than 500 experts in the field of liver cancer treatment from home and abroad gathered together to exchange and discuss the latest changes in the 2017 version of the diagnosis and treatment standards for primary liver cancer, new thinking and new ideas in tumor treatment, and the research results of the anti-tumor drug Huaier Granules. Participants expressed that they have benefited a lot.

Professor Sun Huichuan of Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, he brought a special speech is "the 2017 version of the diagnosis and treatment of primary liver cancer standard interpretation". With the development of basic knowledge and clinical research in the field of liver cancer, the diagnosis, staging and treatment of HCC are constantly updated, and it is urgent to formulate new diagnosis and treatment standards to guide medical activities. The revised principles of this specification are tolerance and harmony, leniency and strictness, ideal reality, traditional medicine, and soothing treatment. Our product Huaier Granules has entered the 2017 version of the diagnosis and treatment standard because of its good prospective, multi-center and large sample clinical research results. It is the only drug that has been proved positive by large sample clinical studies.

Professor Zhang Zhiwei of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology introduced the basic research and multi-center clinical trial results of Huaier granule. Basic studies have shown that Huaier Qingao has a significant inhibitory effect on liver cancer. With Wuhan Tongji Hospital as the team leader, Academician Chen Xiaoping as the main researcher, and 39 centers across the country participated in a multi-center, randomized controlled study on the prevention of recurrence and metastasis after radical resection of liver cancer. After 5 years of clinical observation, the results show that Huaier granules can not only effectively prevent recurrence and metastasis after radical resection of liver cancer, but also significantly improve the survival rate after radical resection of liver cancer and have good safety.

Professor Nai Tanaka of Tokai University in Japan gave a lecture on "Comprehensive Cancer Countermeasures and Molecular Basis Analysis of Sophora Ear Function". The study mainly explored the mechanism of Hippo signaling pathway in improving cancer and other physiological disorders in Sophora Ear from the molecular level. This study demonstrates that the broad effect of Sophora auricula is based on the regulation of the disrupted Hippo signaling pathway, especially the restoration of transcriptional dysregulation. The changes in the metabolic spectrum of the model animals explained the molecular basis of tissue repair after treatment of Huaier, indicating that Huaier may regulate the embryogenesis of cells in damaged tissues and the subsequent normal development process, so as to achieve the purpose of regulating cell fate. According to the popular saying, Huaier particles can repair damaged cells and reverse them into normal cells. It's called rejuvenation.

Vice President Lu Zhengxin of Gaitianli Pharmaceutical made a wonderful speech on "Thinking and Methods of Tumor Treatment. First of all, this paper expounds the current situation of tumor treatment: from the previous batches of chemotherapeutic drugs to the current targeted drugs, gene drugs and biological drugs, although they always want to completely eliminate the tumor through a certain point or a certain way of a certain drug, except for the great improvement in the survival rate of hormone-dependent breast cancer under hormone-assisted therapy, the survival rate of the rest of the tumor in the past half century has not been fundamentally improved in essence. So we have to think about tumors in a different way.

The occurrence and development of tumor is extremely complex. In the past, tumor treatment methods paid more attention to the tumor itself, while ignoring the treatment of tumor living environment. Now it seems that these two factors are equally important. Therefore, cancer stem cells and interstitial immune inflammation are the key to solve tumor recurrence and metastasis.

Studies have shown that the early G1 phase apoptosis of Huaier granules can act on the apoptosis or reversal of tumor stem cells, repair the immune system, control immune inflammation, and solve the two major problems of recurrence and metastasis after tumor surgery. The efficacy of radical tumor surgery and long-term use of Huaier granules has been confirmed by a national multi-center project.

Finally, under the auspices of Professor Fan Jia and Professor Shen Feng, the experts launched a heated discussion, which benefited the majority of participants. Professor Fan Jia expressed his gratitude to this meeting for providing good ideas for our clinical research on tumor treatment, and hopes to work together in the future to change the current situation of liver cancer treatment in my country.
